Treefree Saddles

The design of these unique saddles was inspired by a desire for a more natural riding experience, so the rider can enjoy that natural bareback riding experience without any physical discomfort for the horse or rider.

The Treefree saddles were designed by Tom Widdecome who has applied his years of experience and research into natural horsemanship and behavioural patterns to creating a saddle to provide a better experience for both the horse and the rider.

The saddles are manufactured by Viking Saddles, based in Buckfastleigh in South Devon and run by Johan Ulvede and Andrea Northcott.

Viking Saddles use only the best quality materials for use in their saddles, including the finest full-grain leather and suede. Both Johan and Andrea are Master Saddlers, both having studied saddlery for 2 years at the well-known Cordwainers College in London.
